Windows Logon Screen Changer Beta 3

New

> Optimize the logon screen for 'most', 'light', and 'dark' backgrounds
> Ratio-aware, will warn upon choosing a disproportionate background
> Toggle the mini-preview element overlay visibility (user name, icon, and 'Windows 7')
> Saves settings for 'Appearance' options to file

Enhanced

> Better JPEG validation methods; most images should work in this version (thanks to *adni18 for pointing this out)

> New interface, designed to give a little more focus to the preview
> New icon (will be changed for version 1 Final)

Features to come in Beta 4

> Image compression (highest possible quality for under 256KB), conversion (support for BMP, PNG, and others)
> Ratio correction (cropping, variant sizes)
> Possible larger interface (dependant on user-feedback - please comment about this idea)
> An auto-installer (final version, app will also stay running in the background to prevent Windows from reverting to default)

Latest Progress: Logon Styler Preview

Requirements:
- Windows 7 32-bit (operates on 64-bit, doesn't show results, to be fixed on new release)
- Windows Vista to be supported in next version
- It may be an idea to ensure you have no other apps of this kind installed on your computer. Methods may conflict, and cause system instability.

If you're experiencing problems running the app, simply turn off UAC.

There is no fourth beta. Instead, the app has been written from the ground up to support an array of new features. It's now called Logon Styler, and should be ready in a week or so. :) Check out 'Progress 1' in my gallery to see a preview. :)

I've re-written the app from scratch, and it's getting a new name. It's capable of a whole lot more now. Not sure when I'll release it - it's still quite buggy.

Compared to this, the new one simply kicks-ass! ;)

It has a new icon now - it's not finalized though... Will spend more time on it when it's first Test Build is released.
